Project Solaris

You wake up in a field, not remembering a thing. You look around and see a strange world around you, one you have never seen before. Not that you remember any, you think to yourself. You notice you have a backpack, and inside there is an instruction manual and a datastick. This manual holds information on how to construct a survival companion, named S.T.E.V.E. As you flip through the pages, the hair on the back of your neck stands up as if your being watched. You quickly look behind you and see nothing. "Must have been the wind..."

Project Solaris is a 2D, top down game all about building, exploring, crafting, and fighting. Fight your way through hordes of enemies in a barren wasteland, or peacefully farm and build your base in a lush plain. Hundreds of things to do, and plenty of places to explore. The game will be smooth and juicy, and have a ambient and thrilling soundtrack.

 

TerraCorp was a morally ambiguous Corporation, focused on scientific research, transportation, and had security services. TerraCorp’s research consisted of antimatter research, research into the Infestation, weapons research, drug research. Crashed TerraCorp ships can be found on planets; They are procedurally generated “dungeons”. Terracorps research into the Infestation led to several outbreaks, causing the corporation to fall.

 

The Infestation spreads throughout solar systems and takes over living and nonliving things alike. It is a hive mind, so the core must be somewhere. Find it.

System B32 is the main solar system and setting of Project Solaris. It was once a peaceful system, with peaceful wildlife and large expanses of flora, until the infestation arrived. It spread from planet to planet taking over and killing, and TerraCorp and most of it's research was destroyed.

In B32, the last living planet is Solaria. It has large forests, deep caves, and many remnants from the past. It is host to many strange biomes to explore and conquer. You can find crashed ships, ruined temples, and ████████. It may look nice, but watch your back.
